Romania's Cadastre Agency buys EUR 7 mln digital mapping services
Romania’s National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration (ANCPI) wants to create a digital map covering about 50,000 square kilometers in six counties, through aerial scanning and aerial photography.
The agency will organize an open auction to acquire this service. The value of the contract, which is financed with EU funds, amounts to almost EUR 7 million, reports local Hotnews.ro.
The agency wants to increase its capacity for monitoring the environment and climate changes. It also wants to implement the EU directive on the harmonization and sharing of geographic information, both nationally and internationally.
