Romania's Chamber of Deputies OKs social security tax cut
The Romanian Chamber of Deputies approved on Tuesday, September 9, in its initial form, the bill on the reduction by 5% of the social security tax (CAS), rejecting President Traian Basescu’s request to review this legislation. Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta and Finance Minister Ioana Petrescu were present at the vote. The Chamber of Deputies is the decisional forum.
The review request sent by President Traian Basescu was rejected last week by the Budget Committee of the Chamber of Deputies.
