Romania's Competition Council head gets new five-year term
President Klaus Iohannis on Thursday, march 5, appointed Bogdan Chiritoiu as president of the Competition Council for another five years.
Chiritoiu has been leading the Council since May 2009. His first mandate expired in 2014 and has been interim president ever since.
The Competition Council board has seven members, namely one president, two vice-presidents and four competition councilors.
Romania’s president appoints the leadership and the Council’s members.
Before 2009, Chiritoiu served as state advisor to the State Department of Planning and Policy Analysis, during Traian Basescu’s mandate.
