Romania's Constanta harbor becomes embarking point for Mediterranean cruise ship this week

Almost 100 Romanians will embark on one of MSC Cruises' luxury ships when it stops in the Romanian port of Constanta on September 27.

It is the first time a cruise ship has chosen Constanta as an embarking point, with the port usually used as a stop over harbor.

The passengers embarking on MSC Musica in Constanta will begin an 11-night cruise. The ship will travel to Gythion, Venice, Katakolon, Istanbul, Yalta, Odessa before heading back to Constanta.

Three other MSC Musica cruise ships will also leave from Constanta harbor this autumn.

The cost of a cruise starts from EUR 749 per person.

The ship's itinerary started on September 20 in Venice. On Friday, September 27, the shop will dock in Constanta at 9am and leave at 5pm.

MSC Musica is the first of MSC Cruises’ ‘Musica-class’ vessels and was inaugurated in Venice in 2006. The ship is 294 meters long and has 1,275 cabins and more than 1,000 crew members.

MSC Cruises is a privately owned European company currently present in 45 countries. Its 12-ship fleet carried more than 1.4 million guests in 2012.

The company expects the number to increase to more than 1.5 million this year.
