Romania's Economy Ministry gets over EUR 68 mln dividends
Romania’s Economy Ministry has received dividends of over RON 300 million (EUR 68.3 million) this year, almost eight times more than in 2014, according to ministry representatives.
The companies which are in the portfolio of the Economy Ministry saw the volume of investments go up 12 times during this period, reports Ziarul Financiar. Their total revenues rose more than eight times, whereas the spending increased four times.
The Economy Ministry includes the energy carrier Transelectrica, the gas carrier Transgaz, helicopter manufacturer IAR or the chemical producer Oltchim. However, Oltchim hasn’t paid dividends, as it is insolvent.
Romania’s state-owned companies posted a turnover of EUR 14 billion last year. Companies in the energy sector had the highest share.
