Romania's economy up 2.5% last year, slower growth in last quarter
Romania's economy went up by 2.5 percent last year on the year before, but growth started to slow in the third quarter of the year, according to data from the Statistics Institute. The country's economic growth target for 2011 was of 1.5 percent.
The last quarter of the year brought a 0.2 percent quarter-to-quarter drop in GDP, but the economy went up by 1.9 percent year-on-year. The third quarter ended with a 1.8 percent growth, while the growth in the second quarter was of 4.4 percent.
