Romania’s economy up 3.7% in the first half
Romania’s GDP increased by 3.7% as gross series in the first half of this year, compared to the same period in 2014, and by 3.8% in seasonally adjusted terms.
In the second quarter, the GDP went up by 3.2% year-on-year as gross series, and by 3.7% in seasonally adjusted terms, according to recent estimations from the National Statistics Institute INS. Compared to the previous quarter, the GDP registered a growth of 0.1% in the second quarter of 2015.
INS also revised down the estimations for the first quarter, from 1.5% to 1.4% when compared to the previous quarter, and from 4.1% to 3.8% when compared to the same period in 2014.
Romania’s economy increased by 2.8% last year compared to 2013.
