Romania's exports increase more than imports in January
Romania’s exports rose in January by 6.4% year-on-year to EUR 4.18 billion, whereas imports went up by 4.1% to EUR 4.36 billion.
The country’s trade deficit amounted to EUR 174.6 million, EUR 76 million lower compared to January 2014, according to the National Institute of Statistics.
Compared to December last year, exports increased by 10.2%, and imports by 4%.
Trade with countries from the EU amounted to some EUR 3.11 billion for exports and some EUR 3.38 for imports and represented 74.2% of all exports and imports.
Trade with countries outside the EU amounted to EUR 1.08 billion for exports and EUR 982.1 million for imports.
