Romania's factoring market grows by over 10%
The local factoring market grew by over 10% last year compared to 2015, exceeding EUR 4 billion, according to a survey by the Romanian Factoring Association (ARF).
It was the third consecutive year when the factoring market saw growth.
The share of the small and medium-sized firms in the total factoring value increased to 40%, from 29% in 2015.
The import factoring recorded the highest growth of 15%. However, the domestic factoring saw the biggest volume increase as it went up by EUR 300 million compared to 2015, according to Bogdan Rosu, ARF chairman.
The total number of customers who implemented factoring operations in 2016 increased by 10% compared to 2015, while the number of commercial relationships grew by 25% last year.
