Romania's factoring market increases by over a third
The factoring market increased by 38% in the first six months of the year compared to the same period in 2014.
This growth, however, is not yet based on sustainable economic development, but on the banks’ efforts to find solutions for providing factoring to as many companies as possible, said Bogdan Rosu, president of the Romanian Factoring Association.
The factoring market amounted to over EUR 1.5 billion at the end of June, up from EUR 1.1 billion one year ago. The domestic factoring recorded the biggest increase, of 40%, whereas the export factoring grew by 15%.
