The Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Theodor Baconschi, has presented the opportunities for German investments in Romania during his recent visit to Berlin. Teodor Baconschi met Berlin Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies, Uwe Lehmann-Brauns (in picture, left), and Parliamentary State Secretary in the Ministry of Economy and Technology and co-president of Romanian-German Cooperation Council, Peter Hintze. Teodor Baconschi also brought into discussions Romania’s accession to the Schengen area, supporting the country’s position. As an answer, the German officials promised support for a constructive treatment regarding Romania's joining the Schengen area. Teodor Baconschi started his two-day visit to Germany on October 4.
