Romania’s Government to buy special plane for President, PM

Romania’s President and Prime Minister might have a special plane for their foreign trips starting early next year.

The Administration of State Protocol Patrimony RA-APPS will buy an aircraft this year, which will mainly be used by high officials for foreign trips, reports local Profit.ro. The costs will be covered from the state budget, and the plane will be made available to the Romanian officials at the beginning of 2017.

The new aircraft will be in the administration of Romanian state-owned airline Tarom.

President Klaus Iohannis currently uses an aircraft provided by Tarom for foreign trips, while Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos takes regular flights.
