Romania's Government removes some requirements for major infrastructure projects
Infrastructure projects of national interest, including those of strategic importance that connect to European transport corridors, will no longer require to Urban Zoning Planning - PUZ, not even if they affect the buildable area of localities, according to an emergency ordinance draft cited by local Profit.ro.
The current law provides that even trans-European transport infrastructure projects require PUZ, and their approval takes a lot of time.
The Government plans to remove the obligation of getting these permits in order to avoid losing EU funds for the infrastructure projects.
