Romania’s industry production prices up 7.9% year-on-year in November 2011

The total industrial producer prices in Romania rose by 7.9 percent in November 2011, compared to the same month in 2010, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS). By main industrial groups, significant increases in the prices of the products stand out from the energy industry – up 11.9 percent and the intermediary goods industry – up 7.0 percent.

Compared to the previous month, the industrial producer prices were up 0.4 percent in November 2011. The industrial production prices for the internal market increased by 0.5 percent, while the prices for the external market went up with just 0.2 percent. By main industrial groups, increases were reported in the energy industry, that recorded an increase of 1.2 percent, capital goods industry – up 0.7 percent, consumer goods industry – up 0.6 percent, and durable goods industry – up 0.1 percent.
