Romania's inflation in July, second highest in the European Union

Romania's yearly inflation recorded in July, of 4.9 percent, was the second biggest in the European Union, just 0.4 percentage points below Estonia, according to data released by Eurostat. The average annual inflation in the EU was of 2.9 percent in July. Lithuania came third, right after Romania, with an inflation of 4.6 percent. The lowest annual inflation rates were recorded in Ireland – 1 percent, Slovenia – 1.1 percent and Sweden, 1.6 percent.
