Romania's National Highways Company to build 90 km of highways in 2015
Romania’s highways network, which currently has 700 km, will be extended by 80 - 90 km this year, said Narcis Neaga, general manager of Romania's National Company for Highways (CNADNR).
He said that the state will finish this year the Nadlac - Arad highway, the second batch of the Timisoara - Lugoj highway and a 17 km-stretch from the second lot of the Lugoj - Deva highway, reports local Mediafax.
In mid-January, Transport Minister Ioan Rus said that Romania will complete 250 km of freeways between 2015 and 2016.
CNADNR inaugurated 50 km of highways last year, less than half compared to 2013.
