Klaus Iohannis, the president of the National Liberal Party PNL in Romania, was designated to run in the presidential elections to be organized in November this year.

Iohannis, who is also the Sibiu mayor, received 111 votes from party members, twice compared to the 55 votes gathered by former PNL president Crin Antonescu. .
