Romania's Nuclearelectrica expects lower net profit this year

Nuclearelectrica, the state company that manages the nuclear plant in Cernavoda, has budgeted a net profit of RON 41 million (EUR 9 mln) for this year, down by 72% compared to the preliminary result recorded last year.

The company plans to increase the expenditure for investments by 27% to EUR 103.1 million, reports local Profit.ro.

The producer estimates for this year a total turnover of EUR 409 million, down by 6% compared to the preliminary revenues for 2015. The revenues from electricity sales are expected to drop by 2% compared to last year, to EUR 365.6 million.

The total expenses are estimated at EUR 395 million, slightly down compared to 2015. The operating expenses will increase by 1% to EUR 367 million, according to estimations.
