Romania’s operational leasing market reached 53,600 cars at the end of September 2015, up by 14% compared to September 2014 and by 9% compared to December 2014.

The number of cars sold via operational leasing companies in the first nine months of this year was over 11,000, representing 17% of the total number of new cars sold in Romania in this period, which was close to 70,000, reports Ziarul Financiar.

The main five companies in the market include LeasePlan Romania, ALD Automotive, Porsche Mobility, Arval Service Lease Romania, and RCI Finantare Romania.

The market could reach about 55,000 cars by the end of this year, said Bogdan Apahidean, president of the Association of Operational Leasing Companies (ASLO).
