Romania’s retailers Flanco and eMag make management changes
The joint shareholders of Romanian retailers eMag and Flanco Retail have decided to make some changes in the management of the two companies.
Starting February 2014, Violeta Luca will be the new vice president and executive manager of online retailer eMag. Meanwhile Dragos Sirbu (in picture), the current Product Management Director at Flanco Retail, will become the Flanco’s CEO, reads a statement of the two companies.
As vice president and executive manager of eMag, Violeta Luca will join the company’s board and will coordinate commercial activities, such as purchases, sales, marketplace, logistics, showrooms and category management.
Violeta Luca also keeps her position as President of the Board of Directors at Flanco Retail.
Luca joined Flanco Retail’s management in 2011, as Marketing Director. Before Flanco, she worked eight years within Whirpool Romania.
Dragos Sirbu joined Flanco’s team in 2012, as Sales Manager, while in 2013 took over the position of Product Management Director. He graduated the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.
Flanco runs 81 stores in Romania and has around 900 employees. In 2012, the retailer recorded a turnover of EUR 137 million.
eMag was launched in 2001 and currently has 10 showrooms around the country, in Bucharest, Iasi, Brasov, Ploiesti, Cluj, Timisoara, Constanta, Craiova, Oradea and Galati.
