Romanian oil company Rompetrol on Wednesday increased the pump prices of gasoline by RON 0.02 (EUR 1=RON 4.2584) per liter, while diesel fuel prices rose by RON 0.07 per liter. Thus, Efix 95 gasoline now costs RON 5.07 per liter, while Alto 101 gasoline now costs RON 5.74 per liter. A liter of Efix diesel fuel now costs RON 5.11, while a liter of Alto 55 diesel costs RON 5.45. Prices may vary by up to 5 percent compared to the reference. The Rompetrol group is entirely owned by Kazakh state-owned firm KazMunayGas.

OMV Petrom has also increased the reference price by RON 0.05 per liter for diesel fuel but has kep the gasoline price unchanged.
