Romania's tax agency invests EUR 30 mln in new software
Romania’s tax authority ANAF will pay EUR 30 million for a new IT system that will manage all tax information about taxpayers, said ANAF president Dragos Doros.
The system’s implementation will take about two-three years, he added, reports local Wall-street.ro.
The acquisition is part of a larger program called RAMP aimed at modernizing the institution. The total value of this program is estimated at EUR 80-100 million.
“The biggest challenge is big data analysis- automated risk analysis and a larger amount of data that give us as much information as possible,” said Doros.
“This is the future of a well-performing administration.”
The RAMP project will be implemented by 2019.
