Romania's Tax Authority accuses wine producer, others of tax evasion
Romania’s Tax Authority ANAF has accused wine producer Murfatlar Romania, as well as local company Euroavipo and several companies of tax evasion.
This led to prejudices of over EUR 158 million, according to government sources, cited by local Hotnews.ro.
The Tax Authority’s control started in the fall of 2014 and has followed the companies’ activities in the last four years.
Several tax inspectors were also in on this and helped the companies avoid taxes, according to ANAF. The firms haven’t paid their taxes and fees and have faked insolvency.
ANAF has submitted two complaints to the DNA in this case.
