Romanian team wins third place at the Nordeus Hackathon

A Romanian team won the third place at the fifth edition of Nordeus Hackathon, one of the most difficult electronic game creating competitions in Europe.

The four members of the Romanian tea TanK'd, namely Daniel Flamaropol, Radu Ziemba Mihai, George Nita Marian, and Mihai Niculae, have been appreciated for their speed and creativity in creating the game Wheely & Screwy.

Binx, the team which represented Croatia, won the first place with their game Don’t Be Afraid while UK’s team Mechabit got the second place with Right Click to Hack.

The Anhedonia game, developed by Croatia’s Misfit Village team, won the people’s choice award.

The teams who entered the competition had to create a video game in only 24 hours. The Nordeus Hackathon took place in Serbia's capital Belgrade on December 12, 2015.

A total of 10 teams entered the competition, representing seven European countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Serbia, Ukraine, the UK, and Romania. Find all the winners here.

Nordeus is a video game developer that has offices in London, Dublin, San Francisco, Belgrade, and Skopje. The company is most famous for its sports-themed social game Top Eleven.
