Romania’s telecom services market went down by about 3% in 2013 compared to 2012, to some EUR 3.2 billion. Some EUR 2.49 billion came from providing services for individuals.

The value of the Internet services market reached EUR 582 million of this amount, up 17% over 2012, supported by the revenues from mobile internet services that went up by 32%, to EUR 252 million.

In 2014, Romania had 12 million mobile Internet connections, up by a quarter compared to 2013, and 4 million fixed broadband Internet connections, 6% more compared to 2013.

The average Internet user consumes monthly 110 MB of mobile Internet traffic, sends 71 texts and uses 208 minutes in the network and 37 minutes outside the network.
