Romania's unemployment rate reaches 5.31% in October
The unemployment rate reached 5.31% in Romania in October, slightly up from September, the number of unemployed exceeding 460,000, according to the National Agency for Employment.
The total number of unemployed registered by the local agencies for employment at the end of October was 463,629 people, 1,807 more compared to the previous month, according to the agency’s data, cited by local Economica.net.
Most of the unemployed registered in October belong to the 40-49-year-old age group (121,861 people). The highest levels of unemployment were recorded in the counties of Vaslui (10.86%), Teleorman (10.43%), Mehedinti (10.03%), Buzau (9.41%) and Galati (8.99%).
