Romania's wheat, corn and barley exports up by 20%
Romania exported 6.67 million tonnes of wheat, corn and barley in the first nine months of this year, a 20.6% increase over the same period in 2013, according to official data quoted by Agerpres newswire.
The total revenues from exports of wheat, corn and barley exceeded EUR 1.36 billion between January and September 2014, representing more than a third (35%) of the total exports of agricultural products during the same period, which were over EUR 3.9 billion.
In 2013, the revenues from exports of wheat, corn and barley amounted to EUR 1.24 billion, representing 35.4% of the total export value of EUR 3.5 billion.
