Romania's white goods producer Arctic grows turnover to EUR 200 million
White goods manufacturer Arctic made a turnover of EUR 200 million in 2010, 6 percent more than in the previous year. Products manufactured in Gaesti, Romania covered over 80 percent of its sales.
Around 80 percent of Arctic’s local production goes to export, to countries like Turkey, Spain, France, Germany, Britain and Poland. The company grew its exports by 18 percent last year, to over 986,000 units.
“Counting on the development of exports, the company has invested EUR 6.5 million in the Gaesti factory, mainly aiming at increasing the efficiency of processes, new technologies and increasing production capacity”, said Monica Iavorschi, Arctic’s general manager (in picture).
Arctic grew its market share to 35.5 percent on the domestic market, according to the company. Arctic is part of household appliances producer Arcelik.
