Romaqua Group Borsec wants EUR 160 mln from mineral water, beer, beverage sales in Romania
Romanian mineral water bottling and brewery company Romaqua Group Borsec, controlled by local businessman Octavian Cretu hopes to grow its turnover by 12 percent this year, to EUR 160 million, according to the company's vicepresident Nicolae Palfi. Last year, the company posted a turnover of EUR 145 million and sold 335 million liters of Borsec mineral water.
Romaqua Group Borsec wants to invest EUR 20 million this year, mainly dedicated to the Borsec brand and to doubling the capacity at the beer factory in Lancram. The group also plans to add new production facilities for mineral water, beer and beverages.
Romaqua Group Borsec, with 11 local brands in its portfolio, employs 2,000 people and currently exports its products to 17 countries. Exports make 2 percent of its sales and Hungary is the main export destination.
