Rompetrol Rafinare reports 37% growth in business in first half
Rompetrol Rafinare, part of Rompetrol Group, recorded in the first half of 2011 a consolidated turnover of over USD 2.42 billion, up 37 percent from the level reported in the same period in 2010. The company has reduced losses to USD 63.7 million, from USD 119 million in 2010.
The company's operating result (EBITDA) went from a negative level of USD 24.7 million in the first half of 2010 to a positive USD 49 million in the first six months of this year.
The total exports of Rompetrol Rafinare, namely Petromidia and Vega refineries, Rompetrol Petrochemicals and Rompetrol Gas, increased by over 53 percent in the first half of this year to a level of USD 880 million.
The company's fuel sales in January-June amounted to over 1.42 million tons, 7 percent more than the quantities sold in the same period of 2010.
