Rompetrol Rafinare, member of Rompetrol Group, reported in the first nine months of 2011 a consolidated turnover of USD 3.7 billion, up 40 percent over the one reported in the same period last year. Moreover, the company’s loss was down by 18.8 percent to USD 113.3 million.

Rompetrol Rafinare’s operating result (EBITDA) went from a negative level of USD 6.7 million in the first nine months of 2010, to a positive USD 42 million in the first nine months this year. These results were due to the company’s improved operational activity and the reduction of the technological consumption.

The total exports of Rompetrol Rafinare, Rompetrol Gas and Rompetrol Petrochemicals amounted to USD 1.2 billion, up 57 percent compared to the same period in 2010. The compnay’s fuel sales between January-September this year stood at around 2.2 million tons , with 10 percent more than the sales reported in the first nine months last year.
