Romania stun Canada in Rugby World Cup comeback
Romania’s national rugby team managed to beat Canada in their third match at the 2015 Rugby World Cup, after making a spectacular comeback in the final minutes of the game.
In the 52nd minute, Romania was down 0-15 against Canada, but The Oaks mobilized in the last 25 minutes and managed to score two essays, which were transformed by kicker Florin Vlaicu, who also scored from a penalty.
The match ended 17-15 for Romania who are now looking forward to their final match against Italy on Sunday. A victory against Italy would ensure Romania’s participation at the next world cup in 2019.
Romania lost its first two matches at the World Cup against group leaders Ireland (44-10) and France (38-11). The Oaks are now fourth in Pool D, one point behind Italy.
