Russia makes observation flights over Romania and Hungary
Russia will carry out two observation flights over the territories of Romania and Hungary between May 25 and May 31, Sergei Ryzhkov, the head of the Russian nuclear risk reduction center, told Itar-Tass, reports local Mediafax.
“The flights will be made between May 25 - 31 from the Bucharest airport in Romania and Kecskemet airport in Hungary,” he said, adding that Russian inspectors will use an Antonov-30B plane for the flights.
The Russian side has agreed the flight routes with Romania and Hungary, whose experts will check the monitoring equipment used by Russia and will make sure the provisions of the Open Skies Treaty are met, according to Ryzhkov.
