Saint-Gobain reopens glass wool factory in Romania after EUR 5 mln investments

French group Saint-Gobain has reopened its glass wool factory in Ploiesti, two years after suspending its activity, during which it invested EUR 5 million in modernizing the production line, local Ziarul Financiar reported.

The glass wool production line will produce over 20,000 tons of this insulation material each year, which will be delivered on the local market as well as in Moldova, Bulgaria, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania.

The factory created 50 new jobs and, in 2019, it should reach 170 employees.

Saint-Gobain is one of the biggest construction materials producers in Romania. The group has nine business lines and 13 production units in the country.
