Second edition of Golden Carpathian film festival brings films from 20 countries to Bucharest
A four-day film festival at its second edition starts today in Bucharest (August 23), gathering 130 film professionals from 20 countries to the Romanian capital. The festival, called Golden Carpathian, will be organized at Cinema Patria downtown Bucharest, and has 17 film projects competing for the grand prize of EUR 10,000. During the festival, eight films from Palestine, Croatia, Tunisia, USA, and Ukraine will also be screened.
On the media side, this year a representative of the international magazine Variety will attend the event in Bucharest.
Golden Carpathian is the first film fair that intends to support Romanian producers who have thus an opportunity to showcase their films and projects and enter partnerships with cinema representatives around the world, according to the festival organizers.
