Sun Plaza shopping center in the Southern area of Bucharest will attempt to break a world record by installing the biggest Christmas lights installation. Guinness World Records representative will be in Bucharest to sign up the attempt, which will try to break the existing record of 150,000 light bulbs in a single location.  The installation will be lit on Thursday, November 25, when the exact number of light bulbs used this time will be revealed.

In 2008, 4,000 Romanians dressed as Santa Claus in an event attempting to win the Guinness World Record for the most people dressed as Santa in one town.  This year, a Romanian designer received a Guinness World Records certificate for a dress with 43,008 crystals.
