Siemens IT Solutions, which has become Atos IT Solutions and Services, has won a EUR 3 million arbitration against the Romanian Ministry of Public Finances and its Central Finance and Contracting Unit (CFCU), bpv Grigorescu Stefanica law firm has announced. CFCU failed to pay certain amounts out of a PHARE contract for delivery and installation of computers and software to the Ministry of Public Finances. The arbitration procedures started more than two years ago, at the beginning of 2009. The Ministry of Public Finances will have to pay the EUR 3 million in withheld contract price and damages, interests and legal costs.

Siemens IT Solutions and Services was part of the Siemens group until July 1, 2011, providing information technology solutions and services for the complete IT service chain. The company is currently renamed in Atos IT Solutions and Services and is part of the Atos group.
