Film lovers can try a new type of movie watching experience in Bucharest too - the silent cinema. Screenings are organized on Sunday and Wednesday evenings at The Ark (196A Calea Rahovei). You can watch 'Casablanca' on Sunday, November 21, from 21,00 hours. The entry is free and if you want to make reservations, e-mail rezerv@theark.ro or call 0724.588.534.

During a silent cinema screening, viewers wear wireless headphones while watching classic films on a cinema screen. In other European countries, silent cinema events are organized in unconventional spaces.  So far, the silent cinema screening at The Ark is the only such event in Romania, as far as we at Romania-Insider.com know.
