Six Romanian insurers raise EUR 22 mln new capital in Q1
Six local insurance companies received capital boosts totaling almost RON 100 million (EUR 22.2 million) in the first three months of the year, according to the National Trade Registry’s Office (ONRC).
Asirom Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) recorded a capital boost of EUR 12.22 million, the largest capital increase among local insurers in the first quarter of the year.
Austrian group VIG also increased the capital of Omniasig with EUR 2.95 million. BCR Asigurari de Viata, which is also a member of Vienna Insurance Group, got a EUR 2.4 million worth of fresh capital.
NN Asigurari de Viata, the former ING Asigurari de Viata, saw a capital boost of over EUR 883.0000 during this period. Signal Iduna and Ergo Asigurari de Viata recorded capital increases worth EUR 2.86 million, respectively EUR 504,000.
