Snow and lower temperatures expected in Romania starting November

21 October 2013

The first snow is expected to fall in Romania’s mountain areas on November 1, but it will expand to the entire country after November 20, according to Ion Sandu, director of the National Meteorology Administration.

December is expected to be a colder month than January or February when the temperatures will stay close to the normal figures for this period, Sandu added, quoted by local news agency Mediafax.

In January, the average temperature will stay at around minus three degrees Celsius. However, temperatures might drop to minus 15 degrees Celsius in January and February.
