12 Romanian counties have already been covered with snow. It has been snowing for several hours during Friday, slowing down traffic in several areas in Moldova, Transylvania and in the mountains area. Prahova, Gorj, Vâlcea, Hunedoara, Arad, Alba, Bihor, Cluj, Braşov, Sibiu, Mureş and Harghita are the counties where it was snowing in the first day on Friday.

The snow lawyer has not exceeded three centimeters on an average. However, according to the national meteorology agency, the snow layer was between 25 and 50 centimeters in small areas in the mountains, and between 1 and 10 centimeters in most mountain areas and in Transylvania.

The temperature is expected to further drop in the following days and several counties will continue to see snow.
