Around 1,000 Romanians bought InterRail Passes for train trips across Europe last year, according to the Romanian state railways operator CFR Calatori.

The pass offers passengers the possibility to travel through Europe either within a flexible schedule 5 out of 10 days on the train or 10 out of 22 days or within the continuous schedule –  11 or 15 days, or a month of continuous traveling.

The countries covered by the pass are Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.

The prices vary between EUR 175 and EUR 575. One country passes are also available, for a limited number of days.
