Son of steel tycoon Mittal pays visit to Galati plant in Romania
Aditya Mittal (in picture), the executive financial manager of steel maker ArcelorMittal and son of the group's owner has recently paid a visit to the steel factory in Galati, Romania. According to Romanian media, Aditya Mittal met the managers of the Galati factory and visited some areas of the plant.
Aditya Mittal, 34, the son of business tycoon Lakshmi Mittal, was included in the Forbes list of 40 under 40, ranking 6th among young business leaders who are innovating and expanding without really thinking about recession.
He has a Bachelor's Degree in Economics with concentrations in Strategic Management and Corporate Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in the United States, from which he graduated magna cum laude in 1996. Aditya Mittal is married to Megha Mittal, owner of German fashion company Escada.
ArcelorMittal owns four steel mills in Romania, in Galati, Hunedoara, Roman and Iasi, along with Romportmet Galati and ArcelorMittal Construction Romania.
In 2010, ArcelorMittal had revenues of USD 78.0 billion and crude steel production of 90.6 million tonnes, representing approximately 8 percent of world steel output.
