This week’s song of the week is called ‘Da vina pe Voltaj’ (Blame Voltaj) and it’s performed by ... Voltaj.  It is a high spirited song, like all the other Voltaj songs, and speaks about having fun without actually blaming someone for the bad things that happen because life is life and it needs to be lived to the fullest.

Voltaj is a Romanian pop-rock band with quite a history. The band first started playing in 1982, on a more hard rock sound level. The communist regime kept the band underground for a while. After several changes to the mix of band members, Voltaj really started to appeal to the public in 1998 when Calin Goia - the current lead singer- joined the band.  Since then the band rocked the Romanian musical scene and became a veritable hit machine.

The current line-up consists of Calin Goia, Gabi Constantin, Bobby Stoica, Oliver Sterian and Vali Ionescu.

Among the most well-known album released by the band are ‘Risk Maxim 2’ (1999), ‘Bungee’ (2000), ‘3D’ (2001), ‘424’ (2002), ‘Povestea oricui’ (Everyone’s story) (2004) and ‘V8’ (2009).
