Romania receives donation of rapid Covid-19 tests from South Korea
South Korea donated 600,000 rapid Covid-19 tests to Romania, the Health Ministry announced.
The tests will be distributed to hospitals, county ambulance services, and residential centers. They will be used for the testing of patients, to avoid outbreaks, and of potential cases, the ministry said.
Last year, Romania donated 450,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses produced by Moderna to South Korea.
It was one of several vaccine donations the country made last year, including to Moldova, Georgia, Egypt, Albania and Vietnam. Romania also sold unused vaccines to other EU countries, including Denmark and Ireland.
Over the past 24 hours, Romania reported 322 Covid-19 cases after carrying out 10,203 tests: 2,338 RT-PCR tests and 7,865 rapid ones.
