Sprider Stores’ investments in its units in Romania reach EUR 20 mln

Sprider Store fashion retailer has invested in its units in Romania around EUR 20 million since its entry on the Romanian market in 2007.  The unit located in Iris Shopping Center (Titan) in Bucharest required an investment of EUR 1.5 million, since 2008, according to the company. The retailer has expanded its operations in Iris Shopping Center with a new space that covers an area of ​​over 1,100 sqm.

“The store from Iris Shopping Center has become one of the most profitable in the recent years. We also noted a steady increase in the flow of visitors, which confirms our long-term potential of the site”, said Konstantinos Pipinelis, General Director at Sprider Stores Romania.

Sprider Stores Group was founded in 1971 and entered the Balkans area in 2000, when it opened its first store in Bulgaria.

The retailer entered the Romanian market in 2007, through a unit opened in City Mall, and currently has 17 stores in cities like Bucharest, Cluj, Timisoara, Buzau, Pitesti, Bacau, Iasi, Suceava, Oradea and Targu Mures. In Bucharest, Sprider Stores operates four stores, located in the southeast of the capital city, and owns a sales area of ​​about 5,000 sqm.
