Gabriel Dumitrascu has resigned from his position as Director General within the Ministry of Energy and he might be replaced by Bogdan Stanescu, special administrator of the Romanian chemical producer Oltchim.

Dumitrascu led the stock exchange listings of various state-owned energy companies.

Gabriel Dumitrascu was "forced" to resign, according to some market sources. When contacted by local HotNews.ro, Dumitrascu confirmed his resignation, but declined to comment on his reasons.

He was in charge of the sale on the stock exchange of the state’s shares in Nuclearelectrica, Romgaz, or Electrica SA.
