The arrivals and overnight stays in Romania's tourist structures increased by 6.4%, respectively 4.8%, year-on-year, in the first 11 months of 2014, reaching 7.89 million arrivals and 19 million overnight stays, according to the National Statistics Institute (INS).

Romanians' arrivals in tourist units reached 77.2% in this period, while foreign tourist arrivals represented 22.8%. About 77% of the foreign tourists came from Europe, 85.7% of which were from the European Union. The Romanian tourists represented 81.4% of the total overnight stays, according to the INS data.
