Germany and UK are the main destinations Romanians chose for city breaks in the first six months of this year, followed by Italy, Spain and Turkey, according to an analysis conducted by Paravion.ro.

“Berlin (in picture) was a trendy destination in the first half of 2013 and we expect it to stay first in the ranking by the end of the year,” said Remus Visan, managing director Paravion.ro.

The average amount a Romanian pays for such a city break package, booked using the Paravion.ro website, is EUR 331. This package includes the plane ticket and four nights of accommodation, with breakfast included.

This ranking of favorite destinations for city breaks was conducted by analyzing the bookings made on the Paravion.ro website between January and June, 2013.
