Study: Products bought online, cheaper than in traditional Romanian stores
Products bought online are with up to 40% cheaper than those in traditional stores, according to the Price Index study conducted by Millward Brown Romania in October.
Books, phones and tablets have better prices in online shops, with the gap reaching up to 27% during promotional campaigns, compared to traditional retail. The average discount of 18% applied to microwaves placed this category among the most advantageous for buyers, according to the study.
For large household appliances, online shops offer a wide range of models, as well as also prices with 4-5% lower than in traditional stores. For perfumes, the difference between the online price and the one in traditional stores can be of 43%, the study reveals.
The study was conducted in the first half of October and took into account 150 products from 15 categories.
